Alexander Djanian (Djandjoughazian) was born in Armenia. Realizing at an early age his calling as an artist he moved to the capital city of Yerevan to develop his skills. He graduated fromArmenia State University with a master's degree in fine art. Alexander moved to the United States in 1991 and continued to pursue his artistic goals.
His works have been shown in many international galleries and exhibitions where he became a notable figure for art enthusiasts and collectors. Recently Alexander was also recognized with the Lorenzo de Medici Medal in the Florence International Biennale. His work has the distincive look that combines modern pathos with old world technique. He is known for the beautiful details in his paintings and his technically skillful brushwork.
Alexander currently resides in Pasadena where he has been working on a large collection of work.
